Fierce Beast-Fist TrainingEdit
Prior to the events of the series, Rio was a practitioner of the Fierce Beast-Fist style of Kung-Fu, which allows the use of incredible power through a unique brand of Ki energy powered by the desire to fight selflessly called Geki. Rio soon denounced this style in favor of the Confrontation Beast-Fist arts.
Confrontation Beast-Fist TrainingEdit
Rio and Mele are practitioners of the Fierce Confrontation-Fist Akugata style of Kung-Fu, which allows them to summon incredible power through a unique brand of Ki energy powered by the principles of natural selection, the darkness and hatred in one's heart, and the pursuit of power. Rio practices the Confrontation-Beast Lion Fist.
To make himself stronger, Rio summons and dispatches Rinrinshi to gather fear and anger from the local populace to gain power as well as being personally taught by the Fist Demons.
Mythical Beast-Fist PowerEdit
In order to see the destruction of the world, Long created a style based on the powers of mythical beasts associated with the Chinese Zodiac using a Golden Ki; intent on having a participant unaware of the style's true nature fully master it to become a mindless beast that would destroy the planet.
Upon taking the Blood-Oath Ceremony, Rio is revived with the power of the new Mythical Beast Gryphon-Fist as well as a more powerful form to match.
