Controversies[]
Austin St. John[]
On April 2, 2024, Scott Ziller, the owner of Power Morphicon, came under fire for his decision to maintain Austin St. John's attendance at PMC #8 as a guest, shortly after the latter's announcement that he would include quotes from Hitler in his clothing line.[14] Zillner, having claimed to have received threatening messages as a result, reiterated that convention attendees were not required to meet or interact with guests they don't like that he invites, and should "just move along."[15]
SPD-star Matt Austin, who had been invited to the convention on multiple occasions and was invited for the same convention that year, expressed his disappointment with Zillner's decision to maintain St. John's participation, which primarily stems from his own Jewish heritage which St. John infringes upon by including quotes from a well-known anti-Jewish warlord. Austin further reiterated his intent to abstain from attending should the committee continue to maintain St. John's attendance.[16]
