Masato is the upbeat, casual member of the team. He has a playful side and always has a wisecrack that he can apply to any situation. Masato is also incredibly narcissistic and has the tendency to brag; which occasionally places him at odds with the literal-minded Beet J. Stag. He has a complete disinterest in rules and authority and will generally act on his own. Of course, his playful exterior hides a rather crafty mind. He also takes his former occupation as an Engineer seriously and prefers machines to have imperfections to learn from.
He has a penchant for nicknames, often calling his old friend Commander Kuroki "Kuro-Rin."
Masato's body in the real world is a virtual avatar. Beet J. Stag acts as a beacon to the body and is directly linked to it; being able to reform the Avatar should it be destroyed in combat. Masato's actual body is located somewhere in the Sub-Space; and it is heavily implied that he will die if the Avatar is destroyed enough times.
The Avatar is based off of a younger version of the actual Masato. The Avatar takes the form of a 27 year old, though his actual body is biologically around 40.
Buddy Roid SystemEdit
Each Buster is assigned a Buddy Roid, which essentially acts as a personal support unit, an interactive console for the Buster Machines, and armor plating for Powered Custom Mode. Beet J. Stag is a personal creation of Masato's that follows him whereever he goes, and was his only friend for quite a time.
Masato is linked to his Buddy Roid and battle partner Beet J. Stag, who also serves as the overseer of his Avatar.
Beet Buster also lacks a Powered Custom Mode.
