The Legendary Ranger Keys (also called Ranger Keys) are the miniature devices used by the Super Megaforce Rangers to enter Legendary Mode; which allows the Rangers to emulate the aesthetic and abilities of the Power Rangers teams that have preceded them.

AppilcationEdit

Super Mega Pink with a Ranger Key and her Legendary Morpher.

The Keys reside in special pedestals located about Gosei's Comand Center; which can be summoned by the Rangers through unknown methods. By flipping the Keys and locking them into the Legendary Morpher with a motion, a Super Mega Ranger can become whatever hero the Key is associated with. These steps are typically preceded by the voice-call of "Legendary Ranger Mode!", followed by the team being emulated and occasionally their Morphing call.

The Super Megaforce Silver Ranger Orion utilizes a different method. His Legendary Silver Morpher accepts a full-sized Ranger Key into a special compartment; which then closes as the Key is scanned upon the press of the corresponding button. These steps are typically preceded by the voice-call of "Legendary Sixth Ranger Mode!", followed by Orion pressing the associated button.

Sixth Ranger KeysEdit

The following Keys represent the Sixth Ranger of every team; allowing Orion, the Silver Super Megaforce Ranger, (and presumably the other Rangers) to emulate these heroes.

Extra Ranger KeysEdit

These Keys are associated with Rangers that are not on Orion's Legendary Silver Morpher.

New Power KeysEdit

Gosei has given the Super Mega Rangers the ability to utilize the powers of unheard-of Ranger teams. It is heavily implied that these are teams from other planets; though no confirmation has been given as of yet.

Squadron RangersEdit

This team's Key set was utilized by four of the Super Mega Rangers in the Episode "Earth Fights Back," with the full set used in "The Perfect Storm." This team's motif seems based on martial arts and "chi" energy. Their suit designs are heavily reminiscent of the Mighty Morphin' White Ranger.

The team itself is adapted from Gosei Sentai Dairanger.

UsedEdit

Lightning RangersEdit

Gia used the Yellow Key of this team while battling an X-Borg horde sent by Matacore. This Ranger's suit bears a slight resemblance to that of the Yellow Space Ranger. Gia referred to this Mode as "Ranger Blitz."

Presumably because of a stock footage error, Troy was briefly seen donning the suit of this team's Red Ranger after being knocked out of the Dragon Power Suits by the monster Turtlelini.

Noah assumed the form of the Blue Ranger of this team in the final battle with Levira. This Ranger was called by the titile "Lightning."

These Rangers are part of a team adapted from Hikari Sentai Maskman.

UsedEdit

  • Lightning Blue - The Wrath (by Noah)
  • Lightning Yellow - Samurai Surprise (by Gia)

Prism RangersEdit

Emma used the Pink Ranger Key of this team while battling a squadron of X-Borgs. This team's powers seem based on the solid projection of light. These Rangers' suits seem based on a robotic/scientific motif. The Rangers were identified under the surname "Prism."

Jake used the Green Ranger of this team while battling the Field Commander Skelltrax.

Emma became this team's Pink Ranger while fighting an X-Borg horde sent by Matacore.

Emma also became this team's Green Ranger during the final battle with Levira.

These Rangers are part of a team adapted from Choushinsei Flashman.

UsedEdit

Blitz RangersEdit

The Super Megaforce Rangers used the powers of this team against the monster Turtlelini. These Rangers derived power from a "Legendary Dragon."

Jake became this team's Black Ranger during the final battle with Levira. He called this Ranger "Blitz."

These Rangers are part of a team adapted from Dengeki Sentai Changeman.

UsedEdit

  • Blitz Red - The Grass is Always Greener or Bluer (by Troy)
  • Blitz Blue - The Grass is Always Greener or Bluer (by Jake in Noah's body)
  • Blitz White - The Grass is Always Greener or Bluer (by Gia)
  • Blitz Black - The Wrath (by Jake)
  • Blitz Pink - The Grass is Always Greener or Bluer (by Emma)

Supersonic RangersEdit

Only one Ranger from this team was seen, as Gia assumed this form during the final battle with Levira. The name of this team implies that they make use of sound-based attacks and weaponry.

This Ranger is part of a team adapted from Hikari Sentai Maskman.

UsedEdit

  • Supersonic Yellow - The Wrath (by Gia)

Battalion RangersEdit

The Red Ranger key for this team was used by Troy within the Legendary Megazord to activate the Zord's "Fire Storm Strike." Their abilities are unknown.

This Ranger is a member of a team adapted from Kagaku Sentai Dynaman.

Toy Exclusive KeysEdit

TriviaEdit

  • Since the Titanium Ranger lacks a Sentai Counterpart; he also lacks a Key in the Gokaiger toyline. However, a Ranger Key for the Titanium Ranger appeared at Power Morphicon 4 alongside a specialized Jungle Fury Wolf Ranger in a two-Key set. The Phantom Ranger also lacks a Key in the Gokaiger toyline but a key for him was released in the Turbo B pack. Keys for both of them are also a part of a unique set made for the winners of Morphin' Madness.
  • The name of the new team "Legendary Squadron" is a reference to and acknowledgement of Super Sentai, as one of the English translations of "Sentai" is "Squadron."
  • The terminology for some of the New Powers teams is inconsistent, as "Blitz" has been used as a label for two different Ranger teams. (the adapted Maskmen and Changemen respectively) While it is possible that these Rangers go by individual designations with "Blitz" simply in the name, there has been no confirmation.
