Genta Umenori is the Gold Shinkenger and the team's Sixth Ranger. He is portrayed by Keisuke Sohma.

Genta is definitely a free spirit. Forgoing the strenuous and formal atmosphere of Shiba House for his wandering sushi cart, Genta is a happy-go-lucky guy. He's a big talker who's expressive nature can be off-putting to the quieter members of the team; sans Takeru. He and Takeru are the closest of friends, and while it took the team time to warm up to the sushi-seller, Takeru and him synced immediately. Genta likes to think outside of the box, and like Chiaki, he often defies authority and tradition in favor of his own personal solutions. This initially causes friction between him and Kaoru's servant Tanba.

The Shinkengers can utilize the generational power of Mojikara, which allows the wielder to form any object immediately available to the imagination by drawing it's Kanji into the air using the ShodoPhone or any painting device.

Genta is a unique case. Since he doesn't hail from any of the samurai families, he instead developed an electronic variation of Mojikara to compensate. This electronic Mojikara is activated when Genta texts Kanji into his Sushi Changer, which is essentially a "Cellular ShodoPhone." His "Mojikara" is based on the Element of Light.
